JESUS

Hope Has A Name

Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation is God’s free gift to us so we can become His children.

To be made whole, or to be saved is to submit to God and His plan and purpose for our lives. It means turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness from our sins and to give us new life in Him.

Often we disqualify ourselves from God’s love because of our history, our failures and shortcomings. Sin has separated us from God and we can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. So how can we accept what we have not earned? Scripture tells us that nothing in all of creation can separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And to accept God’s love is to trust His patient, forgiving and gracious stance towards us. Only He has the power to free us from guilt, shame and condemnation to give us a life of wholeness. All we have to do is turn to Him.

Think about it this way: Anyone who predicts their death and resurrection — AND pulls it off
well, let’s just say we’re going to follow them!

Hope has a name…and His name is Jesus.

3 Things To Know About Following Jesus
1

You receive salvation when you confess and believe.

God tells us that whoever believes in Him and confesses that belief can be saved. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
ROMANS 10:9

2

Salvation doesn’t depend on you.

Jesus bought our salvation when He died on the cross. Salvation is not dependent on our efforts. We can’t undo our salvation or do anything to hinder God’s love for us, because His love never ends.
EPHESIANS 2:4-7

3

Your new life is a series of next steps.

Jesus bought our salvation when He died on the cross. Salvation is not dependent on our efforts. We can’t undo our salvation or do anything to hinder God’s love for us, because His love never ends.
EPHESIANS 2:4-7
